Akron Community Foundation
The Akron Community Foundation places the power of philanthropy with everyday citizens, allowing them to improve the quality of life in our community. Women’s Endowment Fund
In 1993, a group of 106 women came together with one goal in mind – to make a difference in the lives of local women and girls. Seeing a need for funding to support programs that empower this population, the women each gave $1,000 to start the Women’s Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation. Kim Haws has been a longtime supporter of the Women’s Endowment fund and served as a former board member for 9 years.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Western Reserve
Kim is a longtime supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve with three Priority Outcome Areas: Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles for our youth. Kim was a former board member and past Chair of the Board. Learn more »

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) supports and promotes court-appointed volunteer advocacy so every abused or neglected child in the United States has a voice. Kim Haws is a past Board President and served on the board for 10 years and Kim Miller serves on the Board. Learn more »

Keep Akron Beautiful
Keep Akron Beautiful develops and implements public education and community involvement programs on litter prevention, recycling, and beautification of the city. Kim is past Chair of the Board of Directors and currently sits on the board. KAB envisions a litter-free Akron, where all citizens and businesses take pride and responsibility for the cleanliness and beautification of their environment. Learn more »

Leadership Akron
Helps leaders see beyond their own spheres to the bigger picture of the community and inspire them to become more effectively involved as community leaders. Kim Haws is very involved with numerous committees within the organization. Kim Haws is a Leadership Akron Graduate Class of XX and stays involved via events and committees. Learn more »

Akron Urban League
The mission of the Akron Urban League is to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Summit County, particularly African-Americans, through economic self-reliance and social empowerment. Kimberly Haws Falasco recently joined the board of the Akron Urban League.

Leadership Medina
Leadership Medina County is a nonprofit, educational and leadership development organization which exists to build and maintain a county wide network of talented, responsible, and dynamic leaders, who learn first-hand about issues facing Medina County and who serve by assisting in addressing those issues. Kimberly Haws Falasco is a recent member and current class of 2022-2023.
